To use SimpleWave on a client computer, a SimpleWave Key file must be present inside the System Folder of that computer. SimpleWave will not work on a computer without a key file in order to protect innocent people from copying the SimpleWave extension to their private computer and possibly losing all their private data.
 
Included with the SimpleWave package is the file “SimpleWave Demo Key” which allows you to try SimpleWave for a period of thirty days after the first use.
Put the “SimpleWave Demo Key” file inside the System Folder (not in one of the subfolders, but directly inside the System Folder). The first time SimpleWave runs it makes this file invisible.
 
Registered users will receive a password to expand the file ”Registered Users Only.sea” (which will expand itself after double-clicking it and entering the password) which is included with the SimpleWave package. Inside this encrypted archive is the “SimpleWave Hide” software (see the “Tools” chapter) and the file “SimpleWave Key”.
The “SimpleWave Key” file must be stored directly inside the System Folder on every client (but not in the master folder on the file-server). The first time SimpleWave runs it makes this file invisible also. If you already have SimpleWave running with the demo key, you can put the registered key file in the system folder in the master folder on the file-server. SimpleWave will then copy this key file onto each client disk and delete the demo key file during the next startup. Remove the key file from the file-server as soon as every client copied it to the local startup disk.
Using the “SimpleWave Key” file lifts the limits which the demo version has. SimpleWave will delete the demo-key as soon as it finds the “SimpleWave Key” file.
